Treating Dual Diagnosis and Co-occurring Disorders
Recovery. Living and working in a healthy and positive way. Enjoying
your family, and knowing that they are sincerely enjoying you. Together
we can make this possible.
Treating Dual Diagnosis disorders requires a team effort to make
recovery a reality. You are part of the team. Together we’ll design a
fluid and dynamic treatment plan that will address your specific
addiction and co-occurring problems.
Your treatment plan may include:
-
Psychiatric evaluation
- Symptom evaluation
- Medication management
- Individual counseling
- Small primary group interactions
- Psycho-educational groups
- Family counseling and weekly family education lectures
Intensity of treatment:
-
Day programs (inpatient and outpatient) for those needing structured daytime treatment
- Day/night programs (inpatient) for people who struggle with frequent
relapses, impulsive behavior issues, or who lack social/emotional
support systems
- Outpatient programs for those who have a safe and supportive home environment and live near the treatment center
Of crucial importance is that your dual diagnosis treatment plan is
fluid. As your rehabilitation efforts bring success, you may need more
focus on your anxiety, or other co-occurring disorders. All of your
problems will continually be addressed, but the core treatment will
move back and forth between your most pressing issues. This will help
move your recovery forward seamlessly.
The Treatment Team:
-
Mental health counselors
- Clinical social workers
- Certified addiction specialists
- Psychiatrist
- Psychiatric nurse practitioner
